I'm sensing 1932 Dodge sedan, but rear bumper is not quite right #DavesCarIDService
for the record, oldest car I've ever been in is a 1906 Pope-Toledo
also for the record, oldest car I've ever owned is a 1923 Ford Model T roadster pickup. Not a fiberglass T-bucket, but legit Henry Ford steel. But it was, um, slightly modified

Gave my best, but tapping out. There were dozens of fiberglass sports car body makers in 50s/60s like Kellison Cheetah Devin Victress etc, many only made a handful of bodies. I tip my hat to anyone who can positive ID with example photo. #DavesCarIDFail
Around 1950 a lot of small scale fiberglass boat makers started making sports car kit bodies and sold them thru magazines; very few were closed cockpit with doors. This one is definitely not a Kellison or any of the makes in previous tweet

*1930 and 31 Ford Model As are virtually identical; main differences are grill shell (31 is painted), steering column support, and firewall dimple on the 31 for fuel filter

Quite right too. Diplomacy cannot function if there can't be confidential communication between Govt and its Ambassadors for 2 key, but linked reasons.

1. Diplomats, as with other civil servants advising ministers and PMs, must be able to give an honest assessment. They must be able to speak truth to power (© Ivan Rogers).

Why is this important? Decision-makers must be able to act with as full information as possible. If diplomats are concerned with whether their advice will go down well with their political leaders, or worse, with the press and its readers, they can't provide that.

Ok, so, you've heard of that one South African guy who makes electric cars but you probably haven't heard of the Optimal Energy Joule, a Cape Town project that never went to commercial production. Designed by the guy who did the F-Type, it collapsed as a project in 2012:
This one you can actually buy, despite looking like a retrofuristic concept, so long as you have a very large amount of cash. It's the Mercedes Maybach Vision which is one of the weirdest cars I've ever seen - there's basically nothing in that enormous bonnet and it's 2.2m long

I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

It is no surprise Twitter targets accounts for “wrong think” or as we on the #Right like to call it “free-think” this is because of two events which are now totally and utterly inextricably linked, #Brexit and #Trump and the Establishment have been rocked to the core. 2/15
Neither of which were supposed to happen & yet they did now the Establishment is determined never to allow it to happen again or even at all, the reason for them happening was nothing to do with social media, but was to do with people knocking on doors and persuading others. 3/15
