In 1970, my all-black/Latinx Catholic school taught by an all-black order of nuns was invaded by an alien horde of Irish, German, Italian kids & some white nuns & priests we had never seen b4.

No instruction manual, no help from the adults, we were left to sort it out ourselves.
Bussing was so new, they bussed white kids to our school. The white parents quickly put a stop to that.

Bc it was actually quite costly to operate two systems, schools were closed and teachers fired...

Oddly, this only happened to black schools, teachers, and administrators.
