#Remember

In Deuteronomy 8, Moses gave a very powerful speech. It was actually a Message. Moses told the children of Israel, and us by extension, in verse 2 to 'remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee'. #Remember

The greatest crime anyone of us will commit is to forget. We must #Remember all the way we were brought through because if we don't, we will misbehave and if we misbehave, we will suffer the consequences.

Permit me to mention a few things we must #Remember

1. #Remember God. This is important because "In the beginning God"
God will not settle for 2nd place in our lives. God won't have us treat Him like He doesn't matter. We must remember that whatever God does not start, God is not committed to.

God is not just okay with us informing Him about our plans. No! God wants to help us take the best position. He wants us to listen to Him and do what He tells us.

He wants us to acknowledge Him Ps 100:3, He wants us to trust in Him with all our hearts Pro 3:5 #Remember

He wants us to honour Him with our substance and with the FIRST fruit of ALL our increase Pro 3:9.

He wants us to seek first His kingdom Matthew 6:33

He wants us to put Him first in all that we do. #Remember

God also wants you to #Remember something else.

2. Who you were. The Bible says all those who are not saved are 'without God and without hope in the world'.

Imagine that! We were hopeless and godless fools on the highway to hell.

Isn't it then funny how when God has redeemed, saved and raised us we begin to carry shoulders, exclude ourselves from others who are yet to be saved or become proud and demand every privilege? And we do that because we fail to #Remember

The story of King Nebuchadnezzar comes to mind. He was shown in a dream the successions of world kingdoms in Daniel chapter 2. God even made sure he got the meaning through Daniel but King Nebu failed to #Remember

And so in Daniel chapter 3, Nebuchadnezzar made a gigantic gold statue in contrast to what he was shown in the dream. It was an act of defiance and rebellion to the Most High who reigns forever. Nebuchadnezzar did not #Remember

But the events that played out on the day the King proclaimed that all his subjects must bow down before his gold statue made the king #Remember temporarily until he forgot who the real Ruler is again

Daniel told us in chapter 4 of his book, while interpreting Nebuchadnezzar's second dream that the Holy Watchers decreed that the gigantic tree be cut down with its stump left alone. This became a reality when Nebu suffered "boantropy" #Remember

And so the most powerful man on God's earth started "seeing himself as an animal" because God wanted to teach a lesson for failing to #Remember . Whatever we have was given. The best of us were helped, so there is no self-made man/woman.

3. Where you were. Some of us were on the road that leads nowhere. Ps 119:29 MSG

Some of us were in a waste howling wilderness Deuteronomy 32:10

Some of us would not have saved ourselves. Some of us had it very rough growing up.

If God wants it, we shall continue some other time. Thank God that I am back to share with this handle.

We should all #Remember
