There’s an element of #LUFC fans who approach the season with a glass empty mindset. They say we’ve failed to: Strengthen (CF/CH) replace Jansson. The “cup empties” consider #LUFC fans who view proceedings in Bielsa’s camp more dispassionately as Andrea Radrizzani-besotted.. (1)

“Happy clappers”. The “cup empties” allege that Radz is trousering transfer money, he’s not spent a penny, is asset-stripping and so on and so forth. They also claim that Bielsa is overtraining the players, hence all the injuries last season and going into this season. (2)

Here is what many of us see: Ben White is Bielsa’s direct replacement for Jansson and a better fit for #BielsaBall, like swapping out Gordon McQueen for Alan Hansen. #LUFC are stronger offensively because of the dimensions White brings with possession from the back. (3)

With White and Cooper in the middle, #LUFC can build attacks from the back better, retain possession better, get the ball out to midfield more quickly and be generally less ponderous at the back. (4)

Part of why our defensive record was better when Cooper and Berardi partnered versus Cooper and Jansson last season was that Copper and Berardi played their passes forward quickly. Jansson didn’t, which slowed things down. (5)

Quick, controlled transitions from defense to offense delays the opposition’s ability to reorganize, locks them in energy-sapping chasing mode and enables #LUFC to dictate the game, to be protagonists as Bielsa stated during his first press conference. (6)

Slower transitions give opponents more time to settle in defense. These are assessments Bielsa would have reached himself, and probably explains his choice of Cooper and Berardi during the playoffs #LUFC (7)!

Sadly Cooper and Berardi committed decisive errors in the 2nd leg. Otherwise, it was a very sound choice on Bielsa’s part. Now, White is an upgrade on Berardi and Jansson. A #LUFC promotion will mean more upgrades next season. (8)

Also bear in mind that Pascal Struijk and Bryce Hosannah are both perfectly capable of stepping in seamlessly at CH. Historically, homegrown #LUFC players have the capacity to do a sterling job when called on. (9)

Youngsters from the nursery were critical elements of #ReviesLeeds, #WilkosLeeds and #OLearysLeeds. Youngsters reared in the correct traditions in the #LUFC nursery will be a critical element of the success of #BielsaBall and #BielsasLeeds. (10)

Expect about 3-5 of them to break through this season. We already know about Shackleton, but I see Edmondson, Bogusz, Temeznukhov, Struijk and Hossanah as the new faces who might emerge to add value for #LUFC this season. McCalmont and Gotts are also both in with a chance. (11)

Miazek and Huffer also to deputize for Kiko. So yes, #LUFC have replaced Jansson. Good luck to him at Brentford, but our loyalties are with #LUFC and I can’t wait to see a Cooper+White partnership doing the business for Leeds United at the top of the Championship. (12)

#LUFC have strengthened this season but not conventionally. We only signed Helder Costa and Ben White; Jack Clarke and Jack Harrison both returned. We’ve strengthened in a subtle and unconventional way using #CorberansBabes in the U-23 squad. Many of them are ready. (13)

As for the issue of overtraining, Ian Callaghan of #LFC in his reminiscences said that the reason #ReviesLeeds were so dominant apart from their natural ability and meticulous preparation was their fitness. Only Liverpool ran #LUFC close in the fitness stakes of their time. (14)

There should not be another team in the Championship which should be fitter than #LUFC. This supreme fitness allied to #BielsaBall and his fabled 3-3-1-3 formation will put us a notch above the entirety of the division. We cannot be much of a muchness. (15)

As for Radz trousering #LUFC transfer income, this claim is too ignorant that it would be laughed out of court. Too laughable to deserve a response.
