Terrible shooting in El Paso right now. 18 adults dead and 4 children dead. Pray for the families who are about to realize unbearable agony losing their loved ones. This has to stop. We need to treat root causes: Our culture of death and mental health. Our culture is sick.
I don’t care what the ideology of the shooter ends up being, I don’t care what skin color they have, I don’t care what God they believe in... No matter who they are or what they believe in, they’re a monster who doesn’t deserve to live.

Some folks ask me what our culture of death means. Very simply, the guns haven’t changed in over 60 years. We’ve had AR-15’s, rifles, semi-autos for a loooong time. We changed. Our culture celebrates death in everything we do and we don’t prioritize mental health.
Our culture of death gives young people psychiatric meds like candy with little oversight & deadly side effects, we raise kids in front of screens where they become numb to empathy, we sexualize content kids are exposed to at a young age and media turns killers into celebrities.

The shooters manifesto is like a white ISIS member. I’m disgusted. I just read it and I have no words for this evil, only the worst contempt. He doesn’t deserve the oxygen that’s being wasted with every breath he takes.
