1/ We spoke to a woman who was in the grocery area near the rear of Walmart when she heard seven or eight shots in rapid succession.

She said everyone hit the floor and started crawling away from the shots. bit.ly/33ahiAk
2/ A number of people crowded into a metal shipping container.

She said people in the store helped each other find places to hide.

Walmart insists you show a receipt. They can’t do that. 1) you didn’t sign a membership agreement (aka Costco) and 2) once you buy a product, they’re searching your property. You have the right to refuse. @Walmart any comments on how your worker treated my mother?
2) She behaves differently pre-recording. My mother had to go into Walmart for a can of paint (we avoid at all costs) and she insinuated my mother was stealing when she said “no” to the receipt check. She threatened to call a manager.
(3) the manager arrived. Allowed her to belittle the customer and speak in a patronizing tone. She then doesn’t like hearing the word “sh*t”? Please 🙄 #walmart #KnowYourRights #Shopping #CustomerService

I've been on both sides of the situation and the tunnel vision and inward focus take over completely. South Africa's was experiencing terrorist incidents when I was a child there. I was on a Voortrekker (Boy Scouts) but more like Junior Cadets camp.
All of a sudden we heard automatic gunfire and loud bangs from nearby. Our instructors grouped us up, told us we were under attack and rushed is out into the veld. We lay there as we heard the gunfire approaching the camp. I don't recall any vivid thoughts line you did
I only remember the paralyzing fear, waiting to die. It felt like we were there forever. I can remember until this day the dark sky and the veld. But I don't know if we lay there for 5 mins or 30. It felt like forever, until the idiot instructors told us it was a drill
