@Harmini2019 I'm guessing that when Latinx folks are racist against blacks it is bc they have learned the lessons of white supremacy and internalized those, as when some black folks embody self-hatred against other blacks...white supremacy is a powerful drug
@Harmini2019 ...also, whenever people come in contact w/a power structure & try to position themselves w/in it there is a push/pull that happens. Stuck between the powerful & most powerless, inbetween groups are torn btwn wanting 2 express solidarity w/the bottom but wanting access 2 the top
@Harmini2019 ...this happened with Irish, Jews, Italians too...groups that were not "white" at first, and often identified instinctively w'black folks but "learned" the lessons of the system and often sadly assimilated to oppressive structures to get ahead...not always of course but often
