@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports WRONG. At least, so far as I understand the law, as somebody who has a number of lawyers in his immediate family and has heard them speak.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports My understanding is that from the time Mr. Portnoy made his threat, a legal presumption existed that any action he would take against those employees who worked to unionize would be one taken in retaliation for that unionization.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports In other words, they don't have to prove that he took action against them for unionizing. He has to prove he didn't.

Waiting to unionize would be the last thing they should do. They should unionize RIGHT NOW and do so publicly - and find a lawyer to represent them.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports As for you, redheaded one, I used to belong to your cult. I used to be a libertarian. Then I grew up.

Libertarianism, like Socialism, offers a lot of superficially persuasive sounding arguments and a vision of a better, more liberating future.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports It's the sort of thing that a bookish, naive undergrad can easily be taken in by. But then we run into this place called "the real world" and we find that all of the persuasive sounding arguments describe a world we don't really live in.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports Some of us care enough about the truth and the impact the BS we supported has really had on the lives of real people. We grow up, we come to our senses and we leave the extreme ideologies of our teenage years behind.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports Some of us don't, and they grow up to become the leadership of fringe groups like the Libertarians.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports We pushed for some stupid shit, back when I was a freshman. I'd be embarrassed to list some of the things I supported. But I'll say this much for my cohort of ex-libertarians:

We were never anti-union.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports As genuinely clueless as we could be at times, we at least understood that the free market was supposed to be a two way street. That labor had just as much of a right to try to get the best deal for itself that it could as management did.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports Looking back, we should have been more conscious about the problems of negotiating with somebody when in an unequal power relationship, but we never said, suggested or thought that management had a right to be handed everything it wanted, by docile workers on bended knee.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports Also, we were kids. I believe there is a constitutional right to be clueless during adolescence.

It's one of the lost amendments. 😎
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports One of the reasons I left your cult and found my way over to grown up politics, was that I gradually came to see just how much shit our leadership was full of, and deliberately so.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports They didn't want to make a better world for everybody, they wanted to make a better world for the rich people whose asses they loved to kiss.

The whole thing was a scam. Good one, too. I was fooled by it for almost two weeks, before common sense kicked in and I walked away.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports What we're seeing out of you, right now, is a case in point. You're lying to these people about the law, and setting them up for a fall. You're being sneaky, underhanded and manipulative as to try to undermine the employees in order to help out Portnoy.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports How can you think of this as a righteous act? But of course, I know that's a rhetorical question.

A willingness to kiss managerial ass can open up a lot of doors for a pretty little white girl, no doubt about it. I've heard it can do the same for a few lucky Jewish boys, too.
@TRHLofficial @stoolpresidente @barstoolsports But some of us just find it a little harder to sell our souls than you did.

Go figure.
