@siddisimple@acorn This is not about a slowdown, it's about disruptive technologies and their impact. "Businesses designed to succeed in the 20th century are doomed to fail in the 21st." @davidsrose
Automotive sector will face massive disruption. #electricvehicles#AutonomousVehicles
@siddisimple@acorn@davidsrose@TKspeaks What you think a slowdown is actually the end of an era. An era of the scarcity mindset. An era of asymmetry of information. An era of inequity. Now, as @PeterDiamandis says, we are in the age of #abundance, marked by the 6Ds
Have been advised to seek redressal via Consumer Forum for full refund and damages from @TurkishAirlines. My daughter was charged ₹15300 cancellation for something completely out of her control. Read complete #lockdown#COVID2019. Legal Notice in offing. @BilalEksiTHY 1/
Shall wait till end of day to get confirmation of remittance from @TK_HelpDesk into @Eeshta_ account.
Might end up as a #PIL that will help all at the wrong end of the stick. We need judicial intervention to treat everybody equally. All airlines must be directed to defer to the needs of the current global emergency. #COVID is not something anybody can control. 3/

Okay, so in the #designthinking class you learnt #empathy and now you're trying to apply it to a real situation. Stuck? Well there's your issue. It's about cultivating a #mindset, not just using tools. 1/
#Empathy is a noun and an abstract one at that. Empathizing is a verb: it's an action word. Action doesn't happen in the head. Which means you have to go out into the real world of real users and not just make things up in the conference room. Sticky notes won't help. 2/
#designthinking doesn't lend itself too well to the #sprint methodology. #collaboration is good but doing it as a sprint, or a part of one, gives it a process feel instead of a different way of looking at the problem itself. 3/
I'm switching my time and effort doing stuff to generate exponential knowledge that cross fertilises domains. Design entrepreneurship for #Socialimpact
The idea is to create knowledge skills and making capabilities, with emerging Exponential technologies intersecting smart devices, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, nanotechnology, robotics to create products and services that leverage the democratic power of tech. 2/
It's experimentation all the way. Research is okay, but experimentation and prototyping go much farther in understanding problems better and better. That's the design way. Exploring alternatives over picking from existing solutions. We're trying to impact a billion. #PMxD 3/
The challenges we face today are the outcome of skewed priorities. Profit first. Profit only. Pushing people and technology into squeezing efficiencies regardless of need our side effects. Short-term gains over sustainable practices. Thinking for over thinking through. 1/
Education systems, governance structures, work practices, ... everything focused on "smart" solutions for quick returns and for "speed & scale" which most of us talk about but hardly understand. Why scale? What to scale? The 'HOW' traps us into believing that it's progress. 2/
How come even 'best practices' aren't working? What has changed? @salimismail says technologies are growing exponentially, and redefining today's reality. He's right. The future is hurtling at us carrying the debris of humankind's historical ways of thinking. 3/
1/ The world is changing right in front of us; never before has change been as palpable. Most if it is being driven by technology which seems to be disrupting each and every domain. The obsession with technology driving progress to the exclusion of everything else is a bane.
2/ While it isn't a good idea to ignore technology, especially those that actually improve human life and condition, including those that make decisions faster and more accurate and those that make life safer and longer, one-sided technology growth will do more harm than good.
3/ Applying technology in context of people and environment must take precedence over speed and scale. Holistic design of solutions and services in individualized moulds is the path. Because the age of average is done and dusted. The factory model of #education must be disrupted.
