I wanna put out there again that To The New York Times is a broken institution. There are still individuals there who do a lot of good work. But they've lost the kind of integrity that would allow them to hold people like this accountable.
The New York Times has sacrificed it's integrity to cater to increasingly anxious Whiteness. And thus sacrificed it's position as a beacon for calling out what is not okay. NYT as an institution can't be trusted. No matter which individuals there still can.
Let me be clear. Bret Stephens is allowed to go on record saying he had "no intention" of getting this man in trouble after sending a formal complaint email to his superiors. That is a bold-faced lie. But Stephens will remain associated with NYT with no repercussions.
