he was still the CEO and had (I thought) my career in his hands. He had always seemed popular and powerful in the industry, and I feared he could get me blackballed.
The experience left me with a great deal of doubt about my place in the industry and my skills, and left me dreading and avoiding professional events in case he would be there.
When Alexis left the company, he asked for reconciliation, stating that he 'didn't want to do anything out of hurt or spite'. I took this to be a threat against my person or my career, and decided to protect both by keeping quiet.
I'm speaking now to support all the other women who have been through similar, and much worse. This is not ok.
