May 17th all three of @Comey’s lawyers had received four memos.
June 8th @SenatorCollins asks whom he sent copies of his memos to, his answer is “his friend” and refers to only one memo. In #ComeyIGReport he claims he would’ve told them about the others if SSCI had pressed.
This claim is absurd because Collins was out of time AND apparently @Comey had decided it was privileged all on his own.

Btw this is bullshit anyone in production knows producers approve shows it’s not as if @Lawrence went rogue, this lie DID pass through their “rigorous” fact checking they knew exactly what they were doing it’s a half ass retraction because it was a LIE.
The letter called for them to “retract, correct and apologize” their counsel probably wrote the statement but the “correction” part seems unfinished.

The first item I’d like to point out, is that a better term we should use would be undocumented immigrant. “Illegal alien” creates and perpetuates the stigma that these people are inherently bad, or criminal. The reality is that they are just seeking a better life.
Probably the biggest misunderstanding is that everyone should simply just immigrate legally, when in reality there’s nothing simple about it. There are very specific and restrictive criteria one must meet in order to immigrate to the U.S. legally.

Okay here’s the thing. Most of the refugees I know don’t like to talk about it, but watching the inhumanity of this #immigration policy makes me want to mention a couple things. I was one of those kids clinging to his mom, seeking asylum... (1/16)
I spent five years (5-10) sleeping under my bed and soiling myself with anxiety. If my mom was less than 15 minutes late coming home, I would enter a full physical panic that she had been taken (she was once by the secret police in our country).
My dreams were almost entirely narratives of watching my parents taken and killed. And you have to understand, once we left our country, I didn’t leave my mother’s side for three years. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if I’d been put in those cages.

Here are some real ideas to fix the #immigration system.

1. Get rid of the 3 and 10 year bars and replace with a fine.
2. Put more asylum officers near the border.
3. Create a market-based cap for employment-based immigration.
4. Create an entrepreneurial startup visa.
5. Create a path to a green card for E-2 investors. Include any children brought here before age 21.
6. Let's really make a 10 year law: provisional green cards.
7. Direct DHS to allow people to take the steps to correct their immigration status.
8. Penalties besides deportation.
9. Put money and resources into fraud detection.
10. Expand guest worker programs to allow people to go back and forth.
11. Invest in antigang resources.
12. Centralized U visa databases.
13. Tax incentives for microbusiness in high unemployment areas.
14. State biz incubators.
