Remember those entitled who wanted to "just shake it all up"?
What about those who just wanted someone who wasn't a politician?
Oh, and then there were the privileged types who said that getting Trump elected was what it would take to "start the Revolution"!...
I wonder when they'll start crowing about their success,
because they're damned quiet right now.
This is what they signed up for, so why aren't they taking credit?...
Almost as if this presidency didn't go as they had hoped, even though in fact, it went exactly as they claimed they wanted. <end>

Y'all are missing the point. McConnell isn't spineless. This is what he wants. The purpose of a system is what it does. Our system produces mass shooters and a murder rate higher than that of any other industrialized nation.....

If Republican voters are in a state of fear they'll buy more guns. If Republicans promise that the evil liberals will steal their guns, thus depriving them of their right to self defense against the hordes of bad people, then they'll vote for Republicans more reliably...

THREAD: I invoked Rod Serling & Twilight Zone when the news hit about #Trump asserting #ExcutivePrivilege over documents underlying #MuellerReport. I thought I should explain given your questions about US v Nixon & more.
First, there are two different issues to sort through. 1. grand jury material redacted in #MuellerReport and the grand jury material - documents - the report relies on; and 2. documents like McGahn's notes that Mueller refers to in the report that may exist outside of grand jury
House Dems are basically arguing they can see grand jury material behind closed doors (not public) without a court order. The Congressional Research Service notes that 2 court decisions agree with them & others do not. This sets up a court battle. fas.org/sgp/crs/secrec…

1/ Jerry Nadler has had an unimpressive career in Congress. He’s accomplished nothing of note. He represents an upper-Westside Jewish community in Manhattan. Years ago, Trump got the land & wanted to build THE WORLDS TALLEST SKYSCRAPER in Jerry’s district with low-income housing
2/ And upscale condos. Trump even said he would move that portion of the West Side Highway to make better views of the river for the new development. Supposedly, Nadler objected because the influx of wealthy new residents would undoubtedly end Nadler’s Congressional Career.
3/ Nadler wanted the clout of McCain who could call up due bills for favors, & get the loans for Trump rejected. As you may have heard, “Fat Jerry” stab of conscience releasingthe report by Ken Starr back in the day would be detrimental to the American people & our institutions.
