Another artifact of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair: Aloha travel trailers, made in Beaverton OR. Hundreds were sold to fair attendees because of lack of hotel rooms. I saw this one at the Palm Springs vintage trailer show. #DavesTrailerIDService
My aunt, then a teenager, traveled to the Seattle World's Fair and brought back a Space Needle cigarette lighter for my grandpa. Damn, I wish I knew what happened to it

I've literally taken LSD in Ames and it still wasn't enough to make it interesting
*my wife attended ISU for a year, my brother is an alumnus, as are numerous nephews/nieces. My great great grandpa (a Civil War vet) donated part of his West Ames farm to ISU in the 1800s, now part of their experimental crop plots. I kid because I love.
Now Leslie Hall, she knows how to have a good time in Ames. ESPN College Game Day needs to invite her as guest picker

#Seattle won’t plow or treat residential streets — makes it hard for teachers, first responders, small businesses workers and elderly and disabled residents to get around. This isn’t acceptable for a city with the 11th largest economy.
How could we solve this you ask? What about using independent snow removal for residential streets and, you know, maybe accepting climate change is real and a city should have a standard of not shutting for weather.
“But it only snows every 10 years in #Seattle.” Wow if only we could predict weather with such certainty especially with climate change and global warming very real. Im not into avoiding planning in favor of unsupported data.
