Don't get me wrong, I love Los Angeles, have many friends there, and have traveled there 3-4 times per year for the last 15 years or more. But when it comes to living there, I'm content to be a tourist.
For all its problems, Los Angeles is still world capital of most of my favorite stuff: hot rod culture, MCM architecture, Noir-era hash houses & drive-ins.
