JUST IN: Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority says it’s cooperating with federal authorities regarding arrests of the top FEMA official who oversaw power restoration on the island & CEO of Cobra. PEPA says it “canceled the contracts with Cobra Acquisition LLC, in March 2019...”
“... when it became aware of possible irregularities that involved the efforts carried out as part of the recovery process of Hurricane Maria. The contracts with Cobra amounted to $ 1.9 billion, and $ 1.1 billion was disbursed as of March 31 of this year...”
“...The difference is due to unused amounts and billing disputes.”

A tipster told me: look into the #2 person behind FEMA’s top official who was arrested by the FBI today for allegedly taking bribes in her role to restore power in Puerto Rico after Hurricane María.
Turns out: her #2 was arrested, too...for allegedly taking bribes (more below)
Her name is Ahsha Tribble

His name is David Haas.
His bribery cases predates the arrest of Tribble. He was indicted in 2018 for allegedly taking at least $145,000 in bribes. Click on the link to read more.

When he was indicted and arrested, @FEMA said this: “FEMA is aware of the grand jury indictment against Mr. David Haas. The agency takes all charges and allegations of misconduct extremely seriously; however, as with any personnel matter, we cannot comment further at this time."

Trump hating on Puerto Rico has one other reason beyond racism.
It is called PREPA.
The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. The sole electricity provider in Puerto Rico, owned and run by the government of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

They want to completely crash it or privatize it.
2/ Among public utilities in the USA, PREPA is*:

Number 1 in served customers
Number 1 in revenues
Number 7 in kWh generated
Number 8 in kWh sales
*American Public Power Association, 2013-2014

That is a goldmine to trump’s swamp
3/ just an FYI. In 2015, trump left a failing golf course in Puerto Rico that he was supposed to turn around when it was $30 m in debt. He walked away leaving Puerto Rican taxpayers on the hook declaring $70 m in debt. He was supposed to turn it around... he said.

CNN led its report with something similar: “An estimated 4,645 people died in Hurricane Maria and its aftermath in Puerto Rico, according to an academic report published Tuesday in a prestigious medical journal.”

Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico’s power grid, crippled the island’s health system and created a mental health crisis (suicide hotline calls quickly spiked, for instance).

These are confirmable facts that have not been in dispute.
