quick point re: Bolton, I mean everyone knows firing had absolutely nothing to do w/ policy right? It was all abt Bolton trying to spin Taliban story in press and make himself look good. I.e. it’s all abt Trump’s demand for cult-like loyalty. nothing more
press prefers to portray as “clash of ideas.” gimme a break

GOP hearings are *never* covered this way. they held 3 yrs of failed Benghazi hearings and they were constantly covered as Bad News For Obama And Clinton

not surprised bc it’s as I predicted yesterday...much of coverage of Lewendosky hearing stresses it was setback for Dems bc he refused to answer Q’s, was contemptuous etc. in others words, **press rewards GOP for bad behavior, yet again**
if Hillary Clinton had stonewalled and waged war during her 2015 Benghazi hearing, do you think coverage would’ve awarded the win to Dems?.....Bueller?

its probably directly ivanka or even trump himself that gave out the story. this has been done by both parties in the past and one of the more gross things about journalism, imo.

Red Flag #1: Bad gut feeling

Even from the first meeting. It defied all logic-- he was really helpful, knowledgeable, generous, and did nothing I could identify as rude. My mood was up because of the advice but I felt bad at the same time.
Red Flag #2: Pro-diversity in public, privately not so much

He was very loud about pro-diversity. But when I brought up real issues, he wasn't as educated as he seemed, to a damaging extent. But he was so defensive about it-- he had daughters, damnit!-- so nothing could change.

The FBI took a key witness who helped them take down a Russian spy...and turned him into a Russian spy himself to get a FISA warrant. In other words, they LIED about Carter Page:

Until May of 2016, Carter Page was the FBI's key witness against a Russian spy named Evgeny Buryakov.

He was working FOR the FBI helping them build a case to prosecute.

But then he gravitates to the Trump campaign as a foreign advisor & someone see's an opportunity.

The BIGGEST moment in the Sessions hearing—not coincidentally, the ONE way Sessions changed his story on Russia—is him NOW saying he told Papadopoulos he could NEVER be a Trump surrogate. He and Trump know what's coming and want a RECORD of saying Papadopoulos WASN'T their agent.
2/ It's NOT a coincidence that—after Papadopoulos' plea—the ONE new fact Sessions will add to the ENTIRETY of his Russia story is that at a meeting at which TRUMP was present Sessions told Papadopoulos he was not authorized to speak to FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS. So—guess what's coming?
3/ This is a retroactive play to save himself and Trump over the POST-March 2016 contacts we now know Papadopoulos had with foreign governments on Russia, and a PREEMPTIVE attempt to protect himself and Trump from this week's and *coming* revelations about Papadopoulos in GREECE.
