20yrs ago we were told that if we wanted quality politicians, we needed to raise their pay.
It's 2019 & the average AU politician is on around 200k p.a.
How does everyone feel about the current quality of Australian politicians?
Should we lobby for them to be on minimum wage?
Why don't we demand that politicians have relevant formal qualifications or equivalent in directly correlated workplace experience? They're a bunch of Law graduates. Why not degrees in science, finance, Arts, medicine, environmental, aged & child care, community health, teaching
Our Minister for environment has a degree in taxation.
Our Minister for Aged care is a carpenter.
Our Minister for families and social services has a degree in Business,
not in social issues.
Minister for Home affairs, a degree in Business.
