The Law of Compensation

What do you desire?

What do you seek to gain?

(Thread)
Before you try to tell me you don't have any desires, stop - because you'd be lying

Desire is a part of the human condition, woven into the very fabric of our being

Trying to deny that is just trying to fool yourself
That being said, desire isn't inherently wrong

That doesn't mean you should let your desires own and control you, but it does mean you should accept them so you can learn to live with them peacefully and healthfully
Think about what you desire and let me ask you -

"If I were to hand that desire to you right now, could you be responsible for it?"
Obviously the answer is going to depend on the desire, but when it comes to your deeper, more grandiose desires, the answer is most likely no....

Because if you were able to maintain that desire responsibly, it would already be yours
This is the Law of Compensation, and it teaches us two very valuable lessons:

1. We receive in direct proportion to what we give (resourcefulness > resource)

2. You will only achieve or maintain something once you are ready to handle it
Say your goal is to become a multi-millionaire, and you're sitting there wondering why you aren't yet

The answer becomes simple when you consider the Law of Compensation
The income you make today is in direct proportion to the value you provided in the past

And

Your capacity for responsibility has not yet reached the level of responsibility needed to handle that much crystalized time and energy
If you were given the money, you would likely lose it as soon as it hit your bank account (just like nearly every lottery winner that's ever lived, I might add) and it would be because you didn't earn it, or, in other words, never learned how to handle it
This can be applied to any lofty desire we may have, any ideal we might be chasing. What we're seeking will naturally come to us when we're ready for it

Not before, and not after
This forces us to look within -

Is the soil of your internal world fertile enough for the seeds of your desires to be planted?

Does the consciousness you hold match the experience you want to have?
When your consciousness is one of wealth, you will have wealth

When your consciousness is one of health, you will have health

And so it goes
What can you do today, or even right now, to move closer to the level of responsibility needed to handle your desire?

How are you actively moving closer to your ideal?
For example, this very thread isn't being written for the fruit it will bear today

This thread is being written for the fruit it will bear in the future
I have complete and total faith in the value I love to provide to you making its way back into my life through new and unexpected means
Keep in mind what you are giving yourself to, where you are putting your time and energy, how you are using the power you currently have, and what you can do today that can bear fruit tomorrow

Dream and acquire responsibly
