Are you thinking about starting a vlog? I considered it for years, but it wasn't until I hired an editor and made a system that it actually started to work.

While I'm far from professional, here's my process:
1. Shoot footage on my phone and DJI Osmo Pocket on a trip. Remembering to grab b-roll and narration shots.

2. After I get home drop all the footage into Dropbox to be uploaded to Daniel, my editor.

3. He watches it all and puts together a rough cut.
4. I watch the rough cut and read his notes on how the story is working, what shots are missing, and recommendations for how I could have captured better footage for next time.

5. From there I provide my own feedback, suggest changes to the text, flow, and story.
He edits that into a final version and uploads it to YouTube for me, complete with a thumbnail. I sign in, add write a description, and hit publish!

This system allows me to produce fun vlogs with very little effort.
Here are a few examples:

I spent a week learning to sail in San Francisco:
Or the time we flew to Cerro Gordo on a PC-12:

This one is extra special because Hilary didn't come, so afterwards I could show her the video of the entire weekend, especially the parts that feature the kids.
If you'd like to do something similar, talk to Daniel. He's taking on more clients now:

He's got a package where for $1,000 per month he'll edit and upload up to four videos. It's a great deal for any content creator looking to do more on YouTube!
My favorite thing is that Daniel is great at taking random footage and not only making a cohesive narrative, but also making it funny! His dry sense of humor comes through in the editing style and really adds a lot.
