Coming to the White House has become a form of ritual humiliation, where allies + not-really allies alike are subject to this treatment, having to sit w/ a vacant smile in Oval Office like all this is normal.

And again -- we used to be a real country, with a real president and a real cabinet, and two real parties that had sound if differentiated views of how to uphold the constitution and govern this great nation.
Yes, laugh Aussie PM, because you are willing to subject yourself to this humiliation in order to reinforce your own hold on power, choosing not to see how you are beclowned by this ritual, and the stink it leaves on you.
