Over the next 3-4 weeks, I shall be spending a chunk of my time documenting & reporting Election Model Code of Conduct violations by BJP+allies in Maharashtra & Haryana.

This time (unlike during the Lok Sabha polls), I want this to be a coordinated effort. (1/7)

Mere reporting isn’t enough - in cases of blatant non cognizance by the Election Commission, the significant violations need to be taken to the Bombay HC & the Punjab & Haryana HC.

Candidates who violate the code MUST be disqualified. It remains up to us to ensure that. (2/7)

While the elections are a mandate of the people, it is important that they remain free and fair and aren’t snatched away by lumpen elements.

This time around we have the power to prepare ourselves and monitor things with greater diligence and take appropriate action. (3/7)

I, evidently, can’t do this alone and would like to enlist volunteers who:

(a) are willing to read and learn the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct on an urgent basis

(b) are able to take the effort to distinguish between genuine MCC violations as opposed to those that might seem shady but are perfectly legal

(c) are willing to help compile & document instances which I will flag to the EC in writing (& take to the courts if necessary) (5/7)

Pls DM me if you’re certain & VERY SERIOUS about this and have the wherewithal to spend the few hours every week necessary for doing this together.

I’ll come up with a plan of action over the weekend depending on the size of the team I can put together. (6/7)

PS: I’m an extremely biased person and will ONLY be focusing on violations by the BJP & it’s NDA allies.

The BJP has enough crores to monitor the Opposition so I don't really care.

I am very biased against the Devil so no apologies there & I'm being honest about it. (7/7)
