20.1) Swami Rama-Tirtha (22 Oct 1873 – 17 Oct 1906) was one of the first flag-bearers of Vedanta in the west.
A beautiful story from his collection follows:

"Someone enquired of the flute the reason for its being so much loved by Sri Krishna who governs the whole Universe.."
20.2) "The great emperors like Arjuna & Yudhishthira are anxious to touch Krishna's feet.
The dust under His feet in Brindaban is even now being respected & put on the heads by the great Kings & devotees.
The great beauties of the world pine to have a glimpse of His smile.."
20.3) "That Krishna, who is All in all, puts you, flute, on His lips and kisses you with love and licking again and again.
You are just a small and thin bamboo piece. How could you manage to win so Great Lord?
Whence did you get this power to perform such a miracle?.."
20.4) The flute replied, "I have made myself hollow from head to foot (by destroying my egoism and selfishness).
The result is that Lord Krishna Himself comes and kisses me, He kisses me with fondness.
Why should I not give out pleasant and melodious tunes?.."
20.5) "I have within me His life and breathe.
My tune is His tune.
I have harmonized myself with Him.."

20.6) The above story shows how one can achieve purity in action by becoming a perfect instrument of the Divine.

The Mother gave the significance of 'Purity in Action' to the flower of 'Stemmadenia litoralis' (Milky Way Tree).
