Republican or a Democrat, you need to read the Whistleblower Complaint. It’s a smoking gun laid next to the corpse of Rule of Law. The only questions are: Whose fingerprints—beyond @realDonaldTrump & @RudyGiuliani—will we find on it? And was the corpse also poisoned and stabbed?
These caught my eye too. What they say is White House officials abused security and classification systems to ensure evidence of other Trump crimes was locked down.

If that in any way impeded Mueller’s investigation: obstruction of justice.
Executive Order 13256 spells out procedure for classification. It details who can classify at Top Secret level—POTUS, VP or a minimal number of delegated agency heads or cabinet officers—and is written to ensure info isn’t misclassified. The clearly impeachable breaches are here.

The @nytimes is burying the lede in this tweet: It wasn’t generic “intelligence officials” who referred @POTUS to DOJ for criminal investigation—it was DAN COATS, *Trump’s handpicked Director of National Intel*—who was forced to resign days later. Coats must be called to testify.
The degree of smoke pouring out of the Trump Admin should have made it clear to the press that there was a raging inferno of corruption inside it long ago. But major media continues to softpedal blatantly obvious, if circumstantial, evidence of major crimes.

Good. The principal and teachers who let the arrests happen also need to be disciplined. But something that I haven’t seen discussed yet is this: Turner was a school “resource officer.”

You know—the guys who are supposed to be the thin blue line of defense against mass shooters.
Resource officers are being used to discipline children via the law, as opposed to school rules—juvie lockup instead of school detention. The result is that they’re not being seen or seeing themselves as protecting kids, but policing them.

I suspect that doesn’t make kids safer.
As states staff and arm up resource officers instead of taking guns out of society, we’ll see accidental—and maybe not accidental—shootings of kids by officers. Incidents like these point to why it’s inevitable.

slate.com/business/2019/… Medicaid buy-in, which Klobuchar supports, is a great policy and might even lead to single payer more successfully that the tear-it-up-and-start-over proposal. That said, I see the argument for why you don’t start from the compromise position.
Frankly, the way to square this problem is to just go ahead and buy into the lefty branding of Medicare-for-All. Most of the haters don't even look at the details. And M4A could be done immediately or gradually with a buy-in — something Congress needs to decide anyway.
I'm not jazzed about Klobuchar and don't really see the point, but I think a buy-in is a perfectly legitimate way to expand Medicare or Medicaid for all people.
