The testimony today is missing one critical point. Congress is one of the three co-equal branches of the U.S. Government, and is a check on the Executive Branch. I agree this report was unprecedented, in that it regarded the top of the Executive Branch
That alone is enough to make it inappropriate that the ONLY assessments and actions be conducted by the Executive Branch
Asking the @WhiteHouse and @TheJusticeDept leadership for guidance, and referring the matter to @FBI for criminal investigation, is appropriate but IS NOT SUFFICIENT
All of those entities are under the Executive Branch, & are under the authority of the accused individual. Most are under TWO individuals implicated in the complaint. Referral to Congress was even MORE critical because of the unique nature of this complaint, as a check & balance
