होत आली आहे. संविधान सभेत जेव्हा अशी टिका झाली तेव्हा त्यामागे संविधानावर पाश्चात्य प्रभाव व भारतीयत्वचा अभाव असल्याची भावना होती. अलीकडे अशी टीका हि घटनाकारांचे कार्य कमी लेखण्यासाठी, डॉ.आंबेडकरांबद्दल असलेल्या आकसापोटी केली जाते.
भारतीय संविधानात इतर देशांच्या संदर्भाचा आधार घेऊन अनेक तरतूदी समाविष्ट केल्या आहेत यात दुमत नाही. पण त्याला कॉपी-पेस्ट म्हणणे याला 'घटनात्मकता' हि संकल्पना न समजून घेता केलेली टिका म्हणता येईल.
संविधान म्हणजे थोडक्यात 'रुल बुक'. समाजव्यवस्थेचे किंवा शासनव्यवस्थेचे मूलभूत नियम.

The second session was all about the Senate. The two issues up for debate was 1) the method of election, and 2) the manner of representation for the upper house.

If, as Eric Foner & others have so convincingly argued, Reconstruction was a Second Founding, I'd say that this is a moment we could consider a Third. A moment to either extend our ideals to all Americans or give in further to white supremacist exclusion.

September 17th is Constitution Day. By federal law all educational institutions that receive federal funds (elementary to university) are required to teach about the US Constitution. There is no penalty for not doing it, but the goal is to educate.

As a law professor and parent, it struck me that there were not many books for elementary age kids about Constitution Day. You go to the library and there is always a section on upcoming holidays, but not much for Constitution Day. It made me sad.
I co-opted my son (then in elementary school) to help me write one to fill the gap and we came up with a picture #book idea “Liberty Lincoln Jay Shares Constitution Day” about a girl who shares the special day and it’s meaning with her class.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad was elected the permanent Chairman of the Constituent Assembly. It met on December 9, 1946. The "Muslim League" members were not understanding the reason and not agreeing to any viable proposition.

In 1986, fresh from the EDSA People Power Revolution that ousted Ferdinand Marcos & the dictatorship, the people acknowledged the leadership of Corazon Aquino to move forward when she was sworn in as #PH President by Justice Claudio Teehankee on 25 Feb.
Aquino had 3 options: (1) return to the 1935 Constitution as amended in 1939, (2) retain the 1973 Constitution that gave Marcos a cloak of legality, (3) to start w/ a clean slate by drafting a brand new constitution. Aquino chose the third option.

Strange to note that PM @narendramodi ji has not tweeted anything on #2611MumbaiAttacks yet but he tweeted on Maradona. Forget condemning Pak for sponsoring it, why not remember our own people who were mercilessly butchered by terrorists? Remember Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan?
This tweet does mention #2611Attack but it is not solely dedicated tweet to that attack. I fully back and adore Prime Minister @narendramodi sir but if he doesn't remember martyrs and innocent citizens explicitly, we have right to ask the reason from him.
