Some wedding planners have even told me that there are so many requests for wedding plantations, that some places--that aren't actually plantations--will purposefully attempt to makes themselves look like one, and even give themselves a plantation name, to bring in new business.
Imagine some place in Germany attempting to make itself look like a concentration camp because there was such a high volume of requests to have weddings at former concentration camp venues.
