1/ NEW: @GovernorBullock announces he’ll buck the Democratic field and apply for presidential public matching funds.

2/ Possible the @GovernorBullock campaign could seek a court judgement to access public matching funds or just wait until the @FEC regains a quorum of four commissioners (it has three now). But the FEC could be without a quorum for weeks or even months.
3/ Anyway, we’re now beginning to see material fallout from the failure of President Trump and the U.S. Senate to work together and nominate/appoint new @FEC commissioners.
4/ There’s an notable parallel to @GovernorBullock’s situation — from 2008, as presidential candidate John McCain was trying to access public matching funds when the @FEC last found itself without a quorum. From @michaelluo, back in the day: nytimes.com/2008/05/09/us/…
