1/ A thread on blockchain gaming composability, and why @CHZWZRDS has the potential to supercharge the Ethereum ecosystem and create value for third-party developers
2/ Many of the most popular games today are UGC-oriented. Roblox, Minecraft, and Rec Room all have a major component of content creation. These games let players themselves become the creators of the game, resulting in close-knit communities and monetization methods for creators.
3/ These games have and will have long lives because the incentives between the creators of the game and players are aligned. The developers give the players more tools to create fun content in the game.
4/ Blockchain and cryptonetworks have the potential to mix a new ingredient into this formula: alignment between third-party developers, creators, and players. I wrote about this last month: coindesk.com/the-real-benef…
5/ Unfortunately, many blockchain games take either one of two approaches: 1) they mint digital goods, sell them to players, and have gameplay off-chain or 2) they force a token to be used making it difficult for third-party games to participate.
6/ Blockchain games and social network APIs have the potential to gamify and bring in users to existing dapps. Linda wrote about this in her composability post last week:

7/ In comes @CHZWZRDS, a game that not only can bring in users to existing dapps, but can also create a new built-in business model for composability.
8/ @CHZWZRDS is built for third-party developers and creators. In order to demonstrate, we hosted a @coinlist hackathon for third-party developers before our first tournament.
coinlist.co/build/cheezewi…
9/ There were a dozen high-quality projects that came out of the hackathon. Some of the projects include:

👪 on-chain guild to split the big cheese
🎲 prediction markets for which wizard will win
⚔️ a new tournament with different rules
10/ These projects do more than increase the utility of wizards.

They provide a way for third-party developers to become stakeholders in the same way that creators in UGC-oriented games are stakeholders.
11/ With the @CHZWZRDS tournament contract, anyone can create their own tournament and take a cut.

With @0xProject, anyone can create a marketplace for wizards and take a fee.

With @AugurProject, anyone can create markets and earn as a market maker (ie. Cheeze of Insights)
12/ Once the tournament starts on Oct 14th, all of these projects will start to see real user activity. And developers will get to see how their projects become fused into the gameplay.
13/ If you’re interested in building for the Cheezyverse before the inaugural tournament and getting users for your dapp, it’s the perfect time to get started. Head to the @CHZWZRDS page to get started building: github.com/dapperlabs/che…
