1/ Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger entered Botham Jean’s apartment and then shot and killed him.

She thought she was in her home. She wasn’t.

Now, the jury in her murder trial will consider a "stand your ground" type law in deliberations.

2/ In Texas, the law is called the Castle Doctrine. It says if you’re in your “castle” — home, car or business — any deadly force used is presumed to be reasonable.

2/ Their names are Idalia Yamileth Herrera Hernandez and Iker Gael Cordova Herrera. They had recently requested asylum. They were sent back to Matamoros, Mexico, to wait for an immigration court hearing. bit.ly/2LI2SRo

Judge Kemp is on the bench in Dallas. Yesterday Amber Guyger was convicted of first degree murder for killing Botham Jean. After the verdict they went immediately to sentencing phase. Today the sentencing hearing continues. Jury is back in the courtroom.
So far we learned: Botham was perfect (not that he needed to be, but he happened to be). Amber, meanwhile, if her texts and social media are to be believed, is a racist violent white supremacist cop who “jokes” about pepper spraying and even killing civilians. So, there’s that.
Amber Guyger’s mother Karen is on the stand; testifying for defense to start sentencing hearing for the day.

Wonder if she regrets that racist “All Lives Matter” shirt yet, or naw. Looks like killer cop Guyger got her racism honest.

White supremacy starts at home.

They began their investigation into HIS MURDER by searching through HIS belongings.
American Police are fundamentally INCAPABLE of policing and investigating themselves.
In his 26 years on earth, Botham Jean NEVER had a single ticket, a single arrest, a single conviction, or even a single behavioral note in college.

Not one. Ever.

How dare police and the media attempt to insult his character and integrity today.
