🚨 Coveney: "My judgement is that Boris Johnson does want a deal, and the paper published yesterday was an effort to move us in the direction of a deal... but I agree that if that is the final proposal, there would be no deal."

Coveney said this in reply to Sinn Féin's Martin Kenny, who says the proposals *would* grant the DUP a veto. "We will be calm, respectful but very firm on these issues. This isn't about cutting some kind of deal at the last minute."

Meanwhile the independent Unionist MP Sylvia Harmon - the only NI MP actually in the Commons chamber - has told Johnson that he doesn't understand NI, that the DUP doesn't represent NI, that NI voted remain and PM's plan creates two borders... Johnson reply is polite but evasive
