Last night we spent a whole 8 mins at a dinner party. We get seated & one of the guest proudly announces that she had just climbed Uluru. I told her how disrepectful I thought that was -it got fierce. I than said that we weren't going to break bread with racist and we walked out.
I was so angry, I'm sweating, my hearts pounding. Today I'm still feeling drained. A month ago, my 6yr gave a speech at school on why Uluru, a sacred site must not be climbed. My daughter and I were the only persons of color there - I needed to quickly get her out of there.
This women was screaming "Who said it's sacred" & "How long has it been sacred?"

Me: "For 60,000 years, you racist fucktard"

Yep, it was that bad. And I'm really just so tired.

Sending out peace, light, love & solidarity to my Blackfulla "family" - Got your back. Always.👊🏽
