1. Prayer: Communication with God (2). Matt.6:7-13 (NKJV). We emphasized last week that the foundation for prayer is a relationship because Prayer simply is communication with God. Communication is life blood of a relationship. #Prayer
2. For many people, prayer connotes the work that you do to get God to do what you want. But we said that the emphasis has to be placed on the relationship, when two people are in a relationship, they like to be with each other and share. #Prayer
3. No two relationships are the same, that’s why each person’s relationship with God is unique. So, it’s a bit difficult to create a formula for prayer. God created us with diversity not expecting each person to communicate with Him the same way. #Prayer
4. The starting point for you is, “do you long for God’s presence?” If as a Christian, you are not sensing a desire to spend time with God, something is missing. God loves you and want to hang out with you. You are created for fellowship; you are Gods object of love. #Prayer
5. That is why when something went wrong, with Adam, God sent His son Jesus Christ to reconcile us to himself (2Cor.5: 16-18). Reconciliation is all God wants. God loves to hear your voice; your voice makes Him happy. #Prayer
6. We tend to create structures for prayer based on Jesus’ example in the bible but Jesus only enjoyed the presence of the Father. Some people don’t believe that you are praying until you are loud. You don’t shout at your earthly parents when talking with them #Prayer
7. Jesus warned that we don’t pray as the heathen do, making vain repetitions. Since God can do all that we ask or think (Eph3:20), then it dawned on me that God doesn’t have human ears, and He has the capacity to hear my thoughts as well as my words. (Ps. 66: 18). #Prayer
8. I pray that your intimacy with God will deepen this season. I pray that God is to you, the person that you have tested and proven yourself. #Prayer
9. What will Prayer produce in your life? #Prayer
10. Prayer deepens our intimacy with God. Proximity is the key to impact and intimacy. Prayer produces intimacy with God. You observe here that Prayer is an intimate conversation; Moses was practically negotiating with God. (Ex33:12-19). #Prayer
11. Prayer births revelation. Learn to ask God questions when God speaks, power flows. If Prayer is going to birth revelation, you must learn to listen. Listening is a critical part of communication. (Jer. 33:3). #Prayer
12. I pray that every question that you ask receives answers in Jesus’ name; heaven will answer the questions in your heart right now. You will not be stranded in Jesus’ name. #Prayer
