Per the call record the WH released, Trump dropped Biden's name to Zelensky 3x in about 6 seconds.
(And Trump never mentions Burisma at all, but Zelensky immediately makes the connection between the Bidens and "the company that you mentioned in this issue.")

So this talking point doesn't serve the principal; it can only be for the amigos' own CYA. And it's pretty difficult to credit.

Beyond that, of course, you have all the press coverage--kicked off by John Solomon and Ken Vogel--that links Burisma to the Bidens and says Giuliani has been flogging the "intersection" in Ukraine all the livelong day. No one brings this up? nytimes.com/2019/05/01/us/…
Even if you don't hear about the connection from Trump, and you don't hear about it from Giuliani, and you don't hear about it from the Ukrainians--how do you miss it in the holy goddamn New York Times since the first of May? It makes no sense.
