There was confusion on Monday as to whether the checks/forms that will need to be done for goods going from NI to GB would need to be done by firms exporting the other way, from GB to NI. Barclay refused to say.

Dexeu confirms to me that they will. So checks in both directions.
Paragraph 16 of the government's own explainer on the NI protocol is actually quite clear about this point.
And yet not only is Steve Barclay confused but so is the Home Secretary. At Home Affairs Select Committee this afternoon Priti Patel refused to rule out Border Force officials being involved in checks and suggested they would only happen in one direction.
