Among the sergeant at arms’ duties: He’s the “chief law enforcement and protocol officer of the House” and “coordinates extensively with the U.S. Capitol Police and various intelligence agencies to assess threats against Members of Congress and the Capitol complex.”
SCHIFF says “yes” when asked if he has concerns about the integrity of the SCIF following this morning’s GOP stunt, which included bringing unsecured phones into a secure space.
