A good starting crew (I know them all) but it needs a bit of balance - try adding @lunivore, @CatSwetel, @SalFreudenberg and @ewebber ... then you're talking ->
Anyway, it'll be interesting. You've got Amazon with @adrianco and @liammax playing "build a centre of gravity" and now, we have RedHat / IBM. I approve. Same play as GDS in the early days and it beats the wally move of "Let's hire McKinsey" or adding some execs from a has-been.
X : Loved the "Wally move" ... more please.
Me : Hire McKinsey, focus on the wrong areas, make some noise about being big in Enterprise and hire an exec from some no hope bit part cloud player who claims they're a big thing in cloud. Add in oodles of story telling just for kicks.
X : You've just described my company.
Me : Given the right interpretation, I would suspect that describes many companies but then, that's more a sign of our tendency to read our own situation into every situation described.
