BTW if you want to know what a pointless waste the actual interview is, here's a clip released Friday night. In political terms it's ancient history by now. Presumably Boris Johnson refused to be interviewed live so that his spin team could fix any gaffes.

A lot is said about how young people "don't vote", but the reality is much more nuanced - and more interesting! In fact, the youngest voters are a super-important source of Remain votes. Take a look at the table below, then I'll go through it...
As you can see, the youngest voters are the least likely group to vote. In the 2017 GE, only 57% of registered voters between 18-24 voted.

However, they are very, very Remain-focused. So even with that smaller turnout they contribute enormously to Remain's cause.
That's what I have teased out in the last column. Using the 2017 Ge turnout figures as a guide, and expressed Remain/Leave voting intentions by age from last year, you can see that 100 registered voters between 18-24 would mean 44 votes for Remain and just 10 votes for Leave.

63,500 new voter registrations yesterday. Bit of an uptick. We have until 26 November to register as many voters as possible. After that, the election will be decided by those who have registered.
Remain tendency is strongest among younger voters. And just look at how many of them there are! 53,452 out of those 63,500 newly registered voters are aged 44 or under - that's a whopping 84%!

Tactical voting can win the election for Remain and/or people's vote friendly parties.

However, the tactic can't be "vote Labour everywhere" or "vote LibDem everywhere". That's not a tactic. That's partisan politics.

So if you're advocating either, you're not being tactical.
And if that's the case, at least be honest about it.

Don't try to dress partisanship up as a tactic. Because you're cheating yourself - and others too.

Brexit is bigger than party loyalty. If you don't agree, that's fine. But again, just be honest about it.
And if you're planning to vote for a party that can't *possibly* win the seat under any circumstances, that's fine too - but it's not tactical.

So for example a Green vote in most seats. That's a political statement. But it's not a tactic. Not when it comes to stopping Brexit.

It’s a striking announcement, to be sure, but there’s a (much) bigger picture.

A few things to keep in mind, via @ProPublica’s @DerekWillis:

This move won’t seriously impact the strategies of most well-funded campaigns, like @realDonaldTrump, @BernieSanders, etc

While politicians seem to ❤️Twitter, campaign spending on platform is small compared to YouTube + FB, neither of which has announced similar plans.

“shareholders” aren’t all the same, and they have wide-ranging views about what “maximizing” returns means to them. Shareholders are investors, which is to say “people” and their investment desires are as different as all people are different. 2/12
Some people desire high rates of return over short time horizons, even if it comes with more risk. Some like the steady, simple returns of index funds. Some invest regardless of returns, in companies with products they use, or because they liked what @jimcramer said. 3/12

If we’re talking about personal security, whether in your home, your store, or out on the street— nothing is more effective than a can of bear spray.

The last thing I’d reach for is a long rifle or a handgun.

So the idea of “self defense”
as a reason to own them is ridiculous.
As someone with more weapons training than most Americans, I know how firearms can fail you in a rushed response to a threat.

And anyone who’s on drugs, who might be immune to bear spray, would also take several shots from a firearm— even if they’re well-placed.

Here are a few things to keep in mind. Much of what the Senate does is by unanimous consent; a whole lot of it is done without a quorum present. Any senator at anytime can note the absence of a quorum and a vote ensues.If Democrats absent themselves,No one will note the absence
If no Dem is there, a. whole lot of bad things can be passed by unanimous consent.If a Dem is there, notes the absence of a quorum & tries to leave, the sergeant at arms can compel the senator to stay. And the Sergeant at arms can be required to try to round up absentees
Here is the bigger dilemma. How do you contest actions taken by the Senate when there was no constitutional quorum present? In the courts. Does anybody think the Roberts court would overturn them? @rickhasen weigh in on this one!
