Exactly, there are legitimate questions about the constitutionality of these laws.

The Congressman owed that student an answer.

Instead, he used the Leftist tactic of smearing the student without even addressing the student’s main question.
Our politicians should have answers to these questions.

The fact that they don’t and are willing to smear anyone who asks them is deeply troubling.
Regardless of how you feel about this particular issue, this student deserved an actual answer.

The way to answer a legitimate constitutional question is not by hurling invectives & slurs.

There is a legitimate 1A concern with these laws, & no matter what your opinion is of other nations Americans must jealously guard their freedom of speech.
Open to hearing arguments for why these laws are constitutional, and not an infringement on the First Amendment.

But I sure didn’t hear one from Congressman Crenshaw.
Also, as @PrisonPlanet correctly pointed out in his article today, the student never once advocated for BDS.

Instead, the student respectfully asked the Congressman of Texas to honor his oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United States.

I read the 74-page manifesto & the killer's talking points are the same ones I read & hear on the DAILY from mainstream politicians, anti-Muslim figureheads, & the media.

i'd like to offer that this is one way of reading it and one that I support. however, i would also like to argue for the the semiotic reading of the maga hat and its bearers.
in fact, it's a pretty straightforward interpellation--that is, the way we fit ourselves & others into familiar scripts--because, quite frankly, trump & the maga types want us to see their signs--hats, shirts, bumper stickers--& have a particular cognitive & affective response.
by cognitive & affective response, i mean to say the way it makes you think and feel. i'm pretty sure they keep yelling "build a wall," "lock her up," "america first," etc. to induce a particular response among opponents & especially minorities.
