Trump's attacks legal #immigration b/c demagoguery —racism—is his political brand. And his core strategy to power. He's long conflated categories of people, so unAmerican it's jarring. Yesterday "Illegal" immigrants. Today legal. Tomorrow citizens. It's all horribly predictable.
The racism just oozes out of every Trump immigration policy, greasing the slippery slope of demagoguery. From illegal to legal to even citizens. Thru dehumanization, intimidation, harassment, deportation, separation, WH racists are determined to make BROWN lesser & non-Americans.
I'm old enough to remember Republicans accusing liberals of social engineering! And they still call virtually any effort to enact more humane & fair laws "socialism." And here they are—literally redefining America & its symbols, deporting immigrants & hoping citizens will go too.
