[Thread] I research #Islamophobia for a living & I can honestly tell you that the views of the gunman in the #ChristChurch #mosqueattack are not & should not be excused as some "fringe" ideology.
I read the 74-page manifesto & the killer's talking points are the same ones I read & hear on the DAILY from mainstream politicians, anti-Muslim figureheads, & the media.
The gunmen was obsessive about white birth rates and fertility like @SteveKingIA & @geertwilderspvv are.
He ranted against "mass migration" calling #Muslims "invaders," evoking the gross imagery used during the #Brexit campaign by #NigelFarage, the media's coverage of the so-called "#refugee crisis," & the #Trump admins rhetoric defending its exclusionist #immigration policies.
The killer claimed #Muslims were going to "replace" white Europeans & carried out the attack to "intimidate & physically remove" Muslims, sounding similar to the claims made by @DouglasKMurray in his Strange Death of Europe book.
Europeans themselves have shown their receptiveness to such white nationalist conspiracy theories as they drastically overestimate the number of #Muslims in #Europe. theguardian.com/society/databl…

I need you to understand that the murderer was NOT ALONE in his views; they are shared by countless individuals, politicians, & media outlets. If you TRULY want change, you must begin by recognizing the problem all around us: #WhiteSupreamcy
