It's a sad thing to see your local writing scene descend into the mire of Social Justice.

However distasteful the phrase 'culture war' may seem to outsiders, there IS a war to control the culture. Your culture. And it's everywhere. /1
Currently Singapore is running a month-long writer's festival.

Yesterday there was a debate on whether men have ruined modern feminism.

Today there will be a talk about the 'brown experience', immigration and globalism.

/2
Other programmes include:

-Discussion of colonialism through language
-Identity politics through writing
-Subversion, inclusiveness and representation
-The political correctness of writing creatures from cultures not your own
-Intersectionalism
/3
This is what a culture war looks like.

The slow, steady infiltration of Social Justice into every and all art forms. The presentation of hard left ideologies as acceptable, progressive, and orthodox. The hijacking of events, conferences and festivals to push the agenda. /4
However you feel about these issues, a festival for writers should be about the art and craft of writing.

Leave your politics at the door.

But that's not going to happen with SJWs, because everything is political, everything must push the agenda, everything is a weapon. /5
This is why I'm grateful for groups like #PulpRev and #Superversive.

A lot of their members do cluster on the right, and they make no bones about it.

But in our work we put our readers first.

/6
Our fiction isn't about shoving politics down the readers' throats.

It's true that our politics and beliefs do influence our stories. But we do our best to ensure that we do this to enhance the reading experience, instead of preaching at our audience. /7
We're in this to tell good stories. To rebuild the cultural cornerstones of civilisation. To go beyond lynching people for Badthink and organizing the latest two minute hate.

We're going to make fiction great again.

But we do need your help. /8
BigPub shuns us.

Big Social shadowbans and suspends us.

Amazon cancels us.

In my case, my stories aren't considered #SingLit enough for the local publishing or writing industry to notice.

Ours is a grassroots movement. A guerrilla movement. The odds are against us.

And there is my own work: BABYLON BLUES, a cyberpunk thriller saga following a team of elite cops in their war on demons and cultists.

I'm also running a cross-promo with @TheBrometheus. You can get exclusive book bundles featuring his works as well./11
Yes, the protagonist of BABYLON BLUES is Christian.

But at its heart, the story is about highly-trained law enforcers struggling to protect the innocent in a corrupt country.

The Christian elements support the narrative and characters. Not preach at the reader. /12
You don't have to be a Christian to appreciate the tactical gunfights, swordplay, martial arts, high tech, weird magic and cyberpunk aesthetics of the story.

There's something in this story for everyone who enjoys action-packed modern pulp fiction.

/13
If you're tired of SJWs ruining your favourite art form, if you want to support creators who work for you, back indie. Back #PulpRev.

And if you enjoy cyberpunk tactical action, back BABYLON BLUES:
