Not sure which "left" this is, but Socialists like my parents were and raised us to be know sneering at poor/working class people who need the services of the State is actually elitist pedagogy, not "woke" praxis. Sometimes you need to actually help people not just lecture them.
Telling single parents (mostly women) or any parents desperate for help with their kids because they are working jobs with zero flexibility that they need to just suck it up until the politically approved cultural critique is in place is truly the zenith of not getting it. Yikes.
My neighborhood is 95% black and 100% poor and this assertion that parents should just wait until society gets that why they need after school programs while they work is because our capitalist system doesn't value them as workers is actually missing the point in a bigly way.
