Hello comrades! Che Guevara just called me the fuck out! I truly began reading guerilla warfare, before tonight I had only read the preface. I'm gonna talk about what I read and how absolutely fucking relevant it is to what I've been saying lately.
I've just been so distressed thinking about us vs the capitalist class and also the fascists/liberals and those who have yet to recognize the true enemy. After reading this I have immense hope! It's possible for us to win.
I'm most moved by the fact that we do NOT (I REPEAT WE DO NOT) (!) (!) have to wait for a revolutionary moment! The conditions in America are already very good for a revolution imo after reading this. Of course this much work to be done but we are not as far from it as I thought
We can see the United States revolutionary potential when we analyze it the way Check would. I think most oppressed people (maybe I'm wrong) recognize the limits of voting. We can see this in how so many people do not vote and many who do feel like it's solving nothing.
We see the outbreak of fighting in Ferguson, occupy ice, Charlottesville, prison strikes and riots, ect. We are already at war. We can see that out government is not in power because of popular vote. We see this with Trump, desantis, Rick Scott, Brian Kemp, ect.
Like we all know politicians steal elections. This is very familiar to Bernie Sanders stans because we watched the election get stolen from him (fuck him tho). We know that we cannot win. We know the consistution does not serve us and the ruling class disregards it anyway
And then ive been talking about how unsafe I feel working as a communist here in the city. This is normal and to be expected. The state is most powerful in urban areas. It's been hard for me to picture a revolution in the streets of Atlanta because that is extremely dangerous.
Imagining a revolution in the cities of the U.S. ignores the large amount of people in the rural areas and it's not very practical. My thoughts on this may change as I read about different movements from different perspectives but from this I feel like we can win in the country
The urban areas are actually really really small amounts of the U.S. it's most rural areas and in these rural areas, I think we will be able to avoid the survalliance state more effectively and actually be successful in defending ourselves cause we could hide.
Comrades feel free to critique my thoughts but this is where I'm at now. I think we should countinue to organize in the cities we are in, addressing the needs of the people. But we should be ready to move to the country when we are unable to organize openly.
Of course this is much easier said than done but we have to acknowledge how HARD things are going to be. It's going to be hard as hell and we would just make things harder for ourselves by staying in areas where we cannot use our surroundings to our benefit.
I like this part because it talks about how important farmers are, their revolutionary potential is immense because of their desire to own the land they work on. I think we see this in the U.S. where these farmer towns are so ready to throw the whole U.S. government away
Sadly they've been prayed upon by divisive forces like rascism, sexism, and fascism and we have to recognize that they are not indigenous people so their land is stolen inherently...but I argue that they can be swayed if we give them attention. They are a people negelcted
I know this may be controversial, believing we can bring the MAGA people to our side and idk maybe I'm wrong but I think that we cannot win without unity and support from them as well. I think we have a common enemy and it's the capitalist class.
Ive never tried to organize with them so this could absolutely be cwishful thinking but I feel like there's revolutionary potential in every working class person. If the bulk of the war will be fought in the country, then I think we need support from the masses in said country.
This is where I am at now comrades, feel free to critique or recommend other readings. It'll take me time to get to them but I will! I consider myself to be in a learning phase so right now I just want to have the correct ideas and it will take work to develop them.
Also obviously I do not thing the MAGA people are the most essential part of a revolution here in the United States, I just think they are important because the farmers of America tend to be Republican Christian MAGA types, as far as I can tell. We can't ignore that
And of course our revolution won't rest on their shoulders alone, the masses are made up of So Many different types of people. What I'm concerned about it being able to go to the country to hide without also being hunted down by the farmers there.
Alliances are temporary while power is permanent. Also I am not advocating that we work with fascist, just working class people who are so disillusioned with the state that need to be educated on the true oppressor.
