Justice Binta Murtala Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, yesterday reaffirmed her declaratory judgment in the suit filed in 2009 by Malam Nasir @elrufai, that there is no missing N32bn from the sale of government houses he supervised as FCT minister.
Malam Nasir @elrufai filed the case in 2009 when the EFCC was smearing him on the matter and he joined 11 other entities in the suit. The court granted all the reliefs he sought. The powers of the EFCC to investigate was not among the issues he canvassed.
As FCT minister, Malam El-Rufai allocated plots in Abuja to more than 27,000 Nigerians and presided over a transparent process that sold government houses and earned the FG a whopping N32bn. No decent man would permit slurs on that stellar record
Therefore, Malam Nasir El-Rufai approached the court and the court agreed with him that there is no missing N32bn proceeds of sale of government houses. That is the outcome of SUIT NO. FHC/ABJ/CS/69/2009.
Malam Nasir @elrufai got justice from the court and protected his reputation against those peddling injurious falsehood. The misleading reportage creates the false impression that he instituted a recent case against the EFCC to thwart an investigation, and that is most untrue.
