The Lord knows I have issues with the @LibDems and I can never be regarded as a @jeremycorbyn fan. Having served my Country, I find some of Mr Corbyn’s comments and views

truly unpalatable. That said, my two local candidates in Putney (@SueWixLD and @CllrFleur ) are exceptional candidates that blow the others away. The LibDems understand that Brexit solves nothing. The poor that have been cursed by the TEN years of Tory austerity will not benefit

from this half-baked, jingoistic lust to leave this world’s greatest free trading communities. Labour are beginning to recognise that far left momentum must re-engage with the centre; to retain its values of equality and fairness while remaining accessible to people like me.

So how do you defeat this two-tier Tory Battle Plan? And, importantly, what exactly is it?

Let’s start with the latter question first. Knowing one’s opponent’s plans, to be able to get within their decision-cycle, is key

Tier One: This election will be won and lost on Charisma

Not (as many pundits keep suggesting) personality. Personality has faults and human character failings. BJ has those in abundance. Charisma transcends personality traits, warts ‘n all. Charisma is the x-factor, intangible essence of being likeable; loveable even. In spite of all

failings and flaws. How many times have you said to a friend or a mate down the pub, “But BJ is a liar! He lies about everything!” And they respond, “yeah but he’s Boris” as if BJ gets a free pass for being sacked twice for lying, cheating on his partners and making his closest

Tory colleagues disown him, because he looks like a cuddly haystack. Charisma is everything in this campaign; and, sadly Corbyn does not have much of this. At least not within the split-second sound-bite on a haiku-length news piece. He is, well, not likeable. This does not mean

he is wicked, or a bad person. This is just how people feel about him.

So. How do you defeat the Boris-Factor? Simple: We must all show our friends those clips when BJ let’s his guard down. The LBC clip was NOT about the hand motion and @NickFerrariLBC ‘s obsequious compliance

It was all about BJ’s pure anger in his face. He was not getting his way... Journalists must expose BJ’s true, selfish, ambitious, power hungry nature. Pivot away from his Dinner-table charm, that is nothing more than an Eton-learned black-tie Party facade. The purest essence of

BJ is about what he can get out of any situation. He used Arcuri then tossed her away like a sodden rag once he had cleaned his genitals upon it. And when he is angry, you see just who you are dealing with. He lies to get his way. He obfuscates and blathers, with his amiable

bluff and bluster but he is a cold-hearted sociopath who will laugh behind closed doors about all the Brexiteer people who think he has their interests at heart. He. Could. Not. Care. Less.

So - Expose his true nature. Burst this bubble of invincibility to show that he is no

more charismatic than a used condom draped with unceremonious haste upon a child’s swing in a playground. His souls is that vile. Morally bankrupt; devoid of any iota of moral-courage, his integrity compass simply has no needle. Challenge him in cabinet, and he will sack you.

Suggest he is wrong. Your career is over. He is pure, selfish ambition. His cabinet should be afraid if they fail to acquiesce to his every whim.

Tier Two: Brexit is the Tory snake oil preachers’ ‘Promised land’. The mantra “Get Brexit Done” means nothing but hides everything.

They will use this phrase to deflect when challenged on their very weak policies. They use this when challenged about their last TEN years of failure, of poverty and run-down services, of failing our wonderful NHS, police forces and probationary services, of shutting magistrates’

and crown courts (300 of them), of closing down 500 libraries...

So, in our society of immediate convenience of information and service, how do you counter this powerful mantra? By all means, try and explain that it doesn’t mean Brexit is over and done with. By the time you

have explained that we will be lurching from one failed trade negotiation to another over the next DECADE, that the City will crumble and fail as a Global Financial Power Hub, that our economy will shrink by up to 7% on where it would have been had we remained within the EEA...

Your audience has already moved on to ‘What’s happening in the jungle?’ ... So, your response must be a sharp retort. “You mean, like the way they did over our NHS? / Police / Social Welfare / Londoners with that waste of a vanity project the garden bridge of failure...” okay,

So that last one was perhaps a bridge too far. But you get the point...

Or... ask them what do they think they mean by that phrase... invite them to challenge themselves to stop and think what exactly this meaningless chant does mean. Then you are in a position to help them

explore the vacuous phrase. That trade deals take time. BJ is lying when he say he can get any deal in one year. How precisely will we be better off? In every way Brexit will harm individuals, families, communities...

And if you hear or see a Con politician use the phrase,

Retort immediately, you had TEN years to sort out the NHS, Child poverty, crime, our failing education infrastructure. You have achieved nothing, but failure. Plenty of failure. Why would ANYONE believe that getting Brexit done would mean anything else will change for the better?
