HOW I DID MY BIT TO PREVENT SUICIDE YESTERDAY

After work yesterday I sat at the Rajj Khalif in Umuahia. Beside me was this guy who was on the phone and crying. A full grown man. Mid 40.
He ended the call and kept Crying. In the open.

I couldn't hold myself.

I suspected it was as a result of a disappointment from a loved one.

Ive been there before.

After a while I moved over to his table and introduced myself and told him to stay strong, whatever the issue is. He opened up and started talking about everything. I let him talk.

He has done business in several countries. He has five houses in Umuahia alone. He got a girl to marry. Gave her his heart. Stayed faithful to her. But she just ditched him and publicly accused him of theft. The heartbreak and embarrassment was too much for him to handle.

Before I met him he wanted to leave Rajj Khalif and drive his car at top speed into any stationary object and just end it all. This wasn't the first time he was loving and losing.

I spoke encouraging words to him and assured him its possible God just helped him dodge a bullet.

Some people have to leave your life for God to bring those who should be in your life and help your destiny. It will hurt at first but eventually you'll say "Thank God this happened".

He listened and agreed.

We spoke some more and his mood got lighter.

Much later last night he called and thanked me for giving him hope of a better tomorrow. He assured me he will let God handle everything henceforth.

He wants us to meet again and again and discuss businesses.

I am fulfilled.

If this is all God brought me to Umuahia for, it is enough. A life with huge potentialities has been saved. I am fulfilled.
