If you want to scroll through my feed from this morning, you can work backwards from here:
Finally, after several hours, the Gaetz amendment is voted down by a voice vote. A roll call is requested.
Gatez amendment fails.
Rep. Steve Chabot, R-OH, says of people listening in on Trump's call, for national security purposes they should "shut up about it."
A moment later he says this should go for a D or R administration.
Rep Cedric Richmond says if Trump is looking to end corruption somewhere, he should try 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
He then suggests he should look to the convicted cast of criminals that have come from his admin like Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen.
"Donald Trump leading an anti-corruption effort is like Kim Jong Un leading a human rights effort," Rep. Cicilline, D-RI.
@CourthouseNews
@CourthouseNews We are still debating the Biggs amendment right now which proposes striking language in the bill that says when Trump was faced with "public revelation" of his actions, he ultimately released the aid.
In its place, Biggs has suggested:
"The aid was released within days of Ukrainian President Zel. signing two major anti-corruption measures into law, convincing Pres. Trump that the new Ukr. admin. was serious about reform measures & consistent w/admin policy to ensure foreign aid is not used for corrupt purposes"
Rep H. Johnson, D-GA speaks on Zel-Trump mtg @ UN in NY in Sept. He describes disparity between the men's heights, size of chairs re: power dynamic. He says Zel. had a look on his face as if his daughter was in a bsmt restrained by duct tape. Light groans heard in chamber.
The Biggs Amendment still being debated. h/t to @jacq_thomsen (who kindly shared the hardcopy doc with me when I couldn't find a copy for myself)
More on the amendment from an earlier point in thread:
@jacq_thomsen @KlasfeldReports The Biggs Amendment (Scroll up for details) is voted down by a voice vote.
@jacq_thomsen @KlasfeldReports Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R- PA, has now proposed an amendment that would strike the entirety of Article II - the obstruction of Congress article.
