Apologies. I certainly didn't mean to imply that they are winning.

The election results from 2018 and 2019 are solid proof that they're not.

My point was that the way they CAN win is to wear people out, discourage people, and get people not to vote.

Pulling 5-star alarms every day wears people out and discourages them.

"Everything will be fine" puts them to sleep.

The solution is for people to turn their anxiety into constructive action. . .

Both facts and circumstantial evidence support the latter.

I think what you're trying to say is that no direct evidence supports the latter.

Most criminal cases are decided with circumstantial evidence, because criminals rarely sign confessions or get caught on camera.
The law doesn’t distinguish between direct and circumstantial evidence. Both are admissible and can be used to prove wrongdoing.

Let’s march through the rules and pertinent parts of the Constitution together🤓

We start with Art. II, sec. 3 of the Constitution⤵️
1/ After approving Articles of Impeachment, the House selects managers who act as the prosecutors.

The business in the Senate kicks off when the Senate receives notice from the House that managers have been appointed and “directed” to carry articles of impeachment to the Senate:
2/ When the Senate receives notice, the secretary of the Senate "immediately" informs the House that the Senate is "ready to receive" the managers.

The rules give us much pomp and formality, but very little substance.

I took a screenshot of the moment there were enough votes.

I should have made a speech: "For the third time in American history . . . (yada yada)"

but right now I'm quite tired of speeches.

Not a shred of evidence has ever emerged showing that Roger Stone had special access to WikiLeaks. Was that made clear in the coverage of yesterday's verdict? Or did journalists instead launch into a celebratory stupor, ignoring that the entire Russia narrative had just collapsed
I get the "schadenfreude" in enjoying that Roger Stone, probably the most notorious dirty political trickster in the country, is going to prison. But this was the marquee trial of the Mueller investigation, and its outcome totally undermined the whole point of the investigation
You'd think that would be worth emphasizing, so the public can better understand the shambolic nature of an investigation that completely consumed the country for 2+ years -- but journalists would rather giddily shriek with joy

lots of people (like an oddly large number) have asked me what i think about numerology recently and, im doing my laundry right now, so, here is my take after many years on the “weird mystical stuff circuit”.
first up is the caveat. yes, numbers can have a mystical or symbolic dimension to them. there is numerical symbolism in the bible, there can be some symbolism to things coming in groups of 3, 4, 5, etc., and i do use symbolism like this in my images sometimes.
there also can be a symbolic nature and a metaphysical usefulness to analyzing things in terms of their component parts, ie breaking them down into their twofold, threefold, etc. nature. the trinity is sort of the ultimate example of this.

I saw something out in the woods today.
I've been trying to not spend all my time at the house, since being cooped up all the time makes me feel crazy. Even though it might not be super safe to be out alone in the woods, it still feels better than being home all the time.
God, I can't believe I just referred to that place as home. I've been here too long...

whole lotta cops here at the albemarle county office building for the board of supervisors meeting. a surprising number of people in the gallery for 1pm on a wednesday, maybe 40 or so. i’m not sure if that’s typical for a BOS meeting.
i suspect it will be largely the same information offered by city, county, and state police at previous community briefings about the weekend of august 10-12, but i’ll post it either way.
oh dear, i think i’m the only person in this auditorium who didn’t stand for the pledge.
much love to our city councilors who remain seated during this bit of performative nationalism during our cville city council meetings.
