Attorney arrested for attempted $200M attempted shakedown related to Roundup & Monsanto.

HT to @Nwi_Realtor
@Nwi_Realtor Seems this law firm made a specialty out of quickie law suits against chemical companies & he secured earlier victories against Monsanto.

After his $289M verdict against Monsanto, he had over 2000 more cases lined up!

Bringing lots of small hasty cases rather then methodical ones. More opportunities to get lucky with a jury.
You don’t think it’s possible someone was gaming the World Health Organization’s list of carcinogens to decide who gets sued & who remains safe? That would be quite the racket...
So where did he get the idea to pursue this type of law?

Apparently from reading former Senator John Edwards’ book about getting rich & powerful in the lawsuit shakedown industry...
While the W.H.O. has declared glyphosate to be carcinogenic the US EPA & others disagree. It’s hard to tell what the ‘science’ says because both sides pretend the evidence is on their side.

But which side is cooking the books to get the ‘science’ they want?

Hard to tell...
Monsanto was caught in discovery coordinating with an Obama Admin EPA official trying to kill another agency’s review of Roundup. But if the other review was not legitimate, that might have been a good thing, but it smells Swampy...

But there was also shady activity at W.H.O. in designating glyphosate as carcinogenic. Seems their peer reviewed draft found it non-carcinogenic but someone changed it during the final edit. This process sounds familiar to me... @ClimateAudit reuters.com/investigates/s…
@ClimateAudit Most of the scientists won’t discuss how the science was skewed in the report but 10 study results showing non-carcinogenic evidence were edited out to fake a consensus that it was cancer causing.
I doubt anyone will be surprised that the scientist & editor of the report, Charles Jameson, an American toxicologist ended up on the payroll of the law firm suing Monsanto! He became their expert witness used to convince the juries that Roundup caused cancer.
Apparently Jameson managed to reverse the conclusions on glyphosate within 10 days of arriving at WHO’s cancer investigations unit. Sounds like he went there with a purpose in mind. But EU regulators also rejected his findings.

This isn’t an issue, that I’ve followed. But Monsanto has been in the crosshairs of the anti-GMO activists for 2 1/2 decades. Seems like they switched from PR to rigging global scientific bodies to make them look bad.

Does anyone know if any of the usual suspects are funding this effort & buying media to control the debate?
